'A structured, reliable framework for difficult conversations'
ABOUT Jacqui Daukes
The conversations that matter most are often the most challenging.
With over thirty years of experience in leadership and facilitation, and more than a decade as an accredited mediator, I provide a clear and steady framework for navigating tension and finding constructive ways forward.
Approach
Effective dialogue depends on a process that is both structured and responsive. My aim is to provide a framework that balances empathy with clear boundaries, creating the conditions for people to engage openly.
My role is to guide the process—holding the space and agreed ways of working with flexibility—so that attention remains on the issues at hand. With a calm and reflective presence, I support individuals to speak honestly, listen deeply, and move towards practical solutions.
Background
Effective facilitation isn’t just about following a plan; it’s about having an understanding of how people work together. My practice is grounded in over thirty years of experience leading diverse groups—from managing international teams in high-pressure environments to facilitating community training sessions, inter-cultural discussion-groups and plenaries.
Alongside this practical history, a PhD from SOAS University of London has given me a deep insight into the competing commitments that so often drive workplace conflict. My work is also supported by six years co-designing and delivering an ILM-assured leadership programme.
Having experienced first-hand the impact of tension within teams, I understand the courage it can take to address issues and move forward. This perspective informs a practice that supports groups to move beyond impasse and identify practical, constructive ways forward.
Professional Standards
I am accredited in Workplace, Community, and Civil and Commercial mediation. This triple accreditation reflects a commitment to the highest professional standards, ensuring that my work is grounded in ethics, confidentiality and multi-partiality across a range of settings.
Whether working independently or in collaboration with partners such as Aspects Mediation, I bring the same high level of care, professionalism and quality to every session.
Mission
My work is guided by the principle of dialogue for peaceful coexistence. At its heart is a commitment to helping people work and live alongside one another with respect and understanding, even in the midst of deep difference.
I believe that, through a well-managed and thoughtful process, tension can become a source of greater insight—creating the conditions for stronger relationships and cultures built on mutual trust.
